For twenty five yearsour Young Shakespeareans workshops have inspired, nurtured, and encouraged the dreams of children and teens from ages eight to eighteen. We want our Young Shakespeareans to gain ease with the language, passion for the text and friendships that last long beyond the workshop. During the summer, our camps and workshops take place on our two Festival stages under the tents in Vanier Park.
Teen Recreation and Educational Enhancement Services TREES is an alternate school in the Surrey School District that combines academic programming and recreational activities with individual and group counselling services. TREES offers both High School Graduation and optional Adult Dogwood, and our program team is made up of three district teachers, two district inner city support workers, two youth counsellors, a cook, and a program supervisor. Students will collaborate in the creation of their individual Educational Plan and, with the support of staff and their peers, will identify and take steps towards meeting their goals.
Having completed the program, what areas of interest do you now have? Alex : I am now heavily invested and interested in the study of museums, material culture, wearable fashion, and curatorial work. Sergio : I now have an interest in fashion.

The full scope of the Young Shakespeareans Summer Camps and Workshops consists of 16 distinct sessions, most of which are half-day sessions running for two weeks. Two intensive workshops are offered for full-day sessions for a single week, for and year olds.
